Chinese Adoption Travel Requirements and Arrangements

Upon receiving and accepting the assignment of your child, it will be necessary for at least one parent to travel to China to finalize the adoption of the child. If both parents are able to travel, the experience will be well worth the time and cost. Your trip to China lasts approximately 12 days. Travel to China is typically arranged with groups of parents traveling and working together. The sizes of the groups vary between 1-15 families. You will be met by escorts and guided through your entire adoption process and trip to China. The adoption is finalized while you are in China and upon your return to the United States your child is automatically eligible for U.S. citizenship by virtue of your U.S. citizenship.

Adoption House, Inc. will be making all of your in-country arrangements in China. We will make hotel and meal arrangements at some of the finest hotels and restaurants in China. Time for sightseeing and shopping is also arranged for your convenience.
